Palisades Bluff House – Tucked near the end of a bluff-top neighborhood overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this home was shaped by the clients’ thoughtful, collected aesthetic. Their distinctive blend of industrial and folk-art influences, together with their carefully curated art collection, became the foundation for the design.
We transformed the existing kitchen by repainting the cabinetry, replacing the countertops and backsplash, and adding a custom built-in banquette that quickly became one of the home’s favorite gathering places. We also reimagined the powder room with a new vanity and a floor-to-ceiling wall of hand-painted tile. Throughout the home, we layered vintage fixtures from the clients’ own collection with custom lighting and furnishings, carefully sourced vintage pieces, and touches of color and texture that complemented their thoughtful sense of style. The result was a relaxed, eclectic home that felt authentic, welcoming, and deeply reflective of the people who lived there.
Sadly, this home was lost in the January 2025 Palisades Fire. These photographs were taken during a photo shoot just a few months earlier. More than a design project, this was a home created for dear friends. It was a happy home, filled with game nights, barbecues, celebrations, music, laughter, and love. We are grateful that these photographs preserve the memory of a home that will always hold a special place in our hearts.
